⚡Breaking: Facebook And Instagram Eases Crypto Ad Restrictions

    Hey Blockster,

In 2018, social media platforms operated by tech giants, such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter, have all imposed a blanket ban on cryptocurrency advertisements.

While they have eased these restrictions, they still make it hard for crypto businesses to promote their products and services to high-quality audiences.

However, it seems like Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is further expanding the advertising options for cryptocurrency projects.

Until recently, crypto service providers (e.g., exchanges, wallet providers) had to submit an application at Facebook in which they had to include their licenses from regulators, their company type, along with other details.

Now, instead of submitting an application to advertise, Meta will approve the ads of digital asset market players if they possess one of the 27 eligible regulatory licenses.

It's important to note that neither the current nor the previous rules apply to crypto events and conferences, as they are free to launch ads on the social networks owned by Meta.

But can Facebook's ambitious plans to launch a metaverse in the near future be behind the easing of crypto advertising rules?

Check out this article on Blockdesk to learn the details of the story!

However, despite that Meta eased the rules for crypto businesses, many of them are unable to get licensed.

Examples of such include DeFi protocols that are governed by the community and projects outside the jurisdictions where they could get a license approved by the tech giant.

Furthermore, going through Meta's advertising process still remains tedious for crypto businesses, hindering their chance to reach prospects efficiently.

And this is the exact reason why we have created Blockster. Launching in Q1 2022, Blockster Ads, our self-serve advertising platform, lacks the blanket bans of tech giants, allowing crypto businesses to launch ad campaigns without any restrictions.

Blockster Ads will soon become a must-have for every blockchain project, startup, and enterprise that seeks to grow its audience without the limitations of tech giants.
