More information would probably come out as the dust settles, for now, there is only the waiting (and not doing any transactions on the ETC chains if you can help it) On the other hand, crypto journalist Joseph Young called it way back. Goldman Sachs, the investment bank that called bitcoin "not a viable investment" in the public presentation about bitcoin has finally shown us their game plan. Turns out they have been working on its "own fiat digital token". Now, this could either be the IRL E-coin or it could just be the bank cashing in on the "blockchain not bitcoin" hype. Now, it's been uncovered that another large 51% attack occurred, resulting in the reorganization of over 4,000 blocks. At the moment, it is unknown whether any funds were lost.  In light of the attack, Ethereum Classic developers are recommending all exchanges, mining pools, and service providers to significantly raise confirmation times on all deposits and incoming transactions. Decrypt Bitmain's Internal Power Struggle Causes Delay In Shipment Of Miners The power struggle in Bitmain's management has started to impact its business. The company announced (in Mandarin) that orders for its mining machines meant for June/July delivery will only be delivered in September and October. Antminer further offered affected users two options for compensation: Antminer will pay the projected PPS (pay per share) that the machines could have generated over the period of the delay. Antminer will cancel the order and refund the miners' orders. In the posting, the channel cited "external interference over the company's management," as the cause for the delay. (Editor: This comes amid internal strife between Bitmain's two co-founders, Wu Jihan and Micree Zhan. Back in October, Zhan was ousted by Wu, though he managed to return to power in June.) CoinDesk 'Week in Ethereum' Podcaster Tokenizes Himself On The Blockchain Evan Van Ness, known for hosting the 'Week in Ethereum' podcast and former Director of Consensys, has tokenized himself on the blockchain. Evan issued ERC20 tokens with the ticker EVAN, and listed them on Balancer.  Originally priced at $0.04, EVAN tokens reached a high of $0.35, an increase of over 850%.
