    🎁 CME to launch Bitcoin options in January 2020

    CME is scheduled to launch options on its bitcoin futures contracts on 13 January 2020 so long as it gets the green light from regulators.

    Each contract would be based on one bitcoin futures contract (comprising of 5 BTC). 

    They will be quoted in U.S. dollars per bitcoin with a tick size of $25 (or $5 for reduced tick sizes), and will trade between 5:00 P.M. Central Time on Sundays to 4:00 P.M. Central Time Fridays.

    Justin Sun, founder of Tron, has now confirmed that he is part of the investor group that recently acquired Poloniex from Circle.

    He initially denied his involvement in the Poloniex's acquisition having tweeted out previously that "I'm not buying anything."

    Justin Sun said some new initiatives for Poloniex include listing Tron, USDT airdrop, a new domain pwang.com for Chinese users, and the acceptance of Chinese government IDs for KYC.

    πŸ’° [Correction] Tunisia's central bank denies e-dinar claims

    2 days ago, we shared the news that Tunisia's central bank will be testing the world's first paper-backed central bank digital currency (CBDC), the E-Dinar.

    In the same week, Tunisia's central bank has issued a statement to deny all claims, stating that it was an "unaffiliated" project taken "out of context". 

    However, the bank did admit that it is considering a CBDC, as it says it is studying "all existing alternatives." But there are no immediate plans for an E-Dinar to go live.
