What's News with the FCFL In Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans, it looked like one Cleveland Browns fan in particular was having a tough time watching Malcom Butler's pick six. We like to think the fans already know how to conduct themselves, but it never hurts to issue a little friendly reminder! The last thing we want is for the fans to get into any trouble with our players this upcoming season! The NFL made it's big return last Thursday by featuring the oldest rivalry in league history - the Green Bay Packers vs. the Chicago Bears - and honestly, we were left wanting a little more. Not that we don't love a good rivalry game, but we were hoping to see a game that didn't produce a lower score than last year's Super Bowl and didn't put us to sleep. Maybe the NFL will think a little harder about the season opener for their next big anniversary. There's one thing we learned though, the Bears defense just isn't the same without FCFL Co-Founder Ray Austin there to help out! If we had a dollar for every time we read Antonio Brown's name in the last week... well, let's just say the possibilities are endless. Last week we wrote about AB sharing his fine letter from Oakland Raiders GM Mike Mayock, and who would have known then that it was just the tip of the iceberg. As you all know by now, especially if you followed our Twitter feed on Saturday, Brown was released by the Raiders and picked up by the New England Patriots. The most important lesson to come out of this dumpster fire? The fans weren't having it. They said, by a landslide we might add, that they wouldn't want Brown on their team after the way he's behaved in Oakland. Last week, SeatGeek released their 2019 NFL Stadium rankings, giving us a clear guide on which stadiums to catch games at, and which ones to avoid altogether. After seeing what does and doesn't work for certain teams, we want the fans to weigh in on how we can maximize their experience at games! Yes, we are primarily producing the league for the digital fan, but we still want those of you that are able to catch a game in person to have the time of your lives! Let us know what we can do, here. Every year ESPN runs about 20,000 simulations for how the NFL season will play out, and in the only one they chose to publish, they called for a New Orleans Saints-Los Angeles Chargers showdown with the Saints coming out victorious at Super Bowl LIV. We're sure ESPN must have some faith in that outcome to publish it, but we wanted to see what the fans would come up with. After a few rounds of voting, it was clear the fans did not agree. According to all of you out there that participated in the Twitter polls, you picked the Los Angeles Rams to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, with the Chiefs taking home the Lombardi trophy. We can't wait to see if you predicted the real outcome! Don't miss daily updates on our social channels: follow us wherever you prefer: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, or Twitch! Did You Know? Did You Know 🤔 During each FCFL game, fans will have the option of calling one of four plays on each down! Don't miss daily updates on our social channels: follow us wherever you prefer: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, or Twitch! We Want Your Input! People frequently ask us: do you really want fan input on how to run the league? Our answer is an unequivocal: YES! Not only will fans be driving all football-related decisions once the games are being played on the field, but we want fans to play an integral role in how we structure our league operations. If there is anything you think the FCFL community should know, join our Facebook Page and share. Or DM us on Twitter. And, as always, if you have questions, feel free to reach out to team@fanchi.se. Have a great week! The FCFL Team @FCFLIO #PowerToTheFan | | | |
