    Let's All Give Thanks

From all of us, to all of you, a very Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday! And, for those of you who might not celebrate Thanksgiving this week – like our Canadian friends who celebrated last month, or our friends around the world – please know that we are thankful for all of you regardless. And excited for the journey we are continuing to take together!

What's Up with the FAN Token World Tour?

Last week, our CEO Sohrob Farudi presented at the 2nd Annual Immersive Technology in Sports & Entertainment Summit in San Francisco and then returned to our HQ in Los Angeles where the entire team gathered for two days of strategic planning and preparation for our Inaugural Season.

After our brief Thanksgiving break, our Chief Product Officer and mobile expert, Grant Cohen, will hit the road again, for 2018 Mobile Disruptors, where he'll be giving a presentation on "Owning the "Second Screen": Integrating Mobile into the Live Viewing Experience."

And the following week Sohrob will be heading to Las Vegas for CryptoBlockCon, December 11-12 at Mandalay Bay (If you'd  like to attend, you can save 50% on registration with code "Speaker50"); and we'll also be participating in XLIVE – more on that one next week!

As Seen on the FAN Token Blog

As we highlight trending events, issues, and decisions in the world of sports, and analyze how they may or may not factor into the Fan Controlled Football League, this week's FAN Take takes a look at the mobility of mobile phone numbers – and what happens when you snag the former number of someone famous, "nope, this is not Joe Montana's cell phone!"

On Sunday, rumors began swirling that the Cleveland Browns were interested in interviewing long-time fan, Condoleezza Rice for the position of Head Coach. In our latest blog we take a look at her response and talk about the likelihood of female coaches in the NFL.

    Notable News

Last week we mentioned that the Monday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams was being moved to LA due to poor field conditions at the original venue in Mexico City. Well, last night's game stirred some new headlines, and its not just because both teams were heading in with an 9-1 record. In what's being called "the greatest regular-season game ever" - we will leave it to the fans to determine if that's actually the case - the Chiefs became the first team in NFL history to score 50+ points in a loss.

The Green Bay Packers Alumni teamed up with the Wounded Warrior Project for a friendly game of flag football last Sunday as part of their Salute to Service celebration in honor of Veteran's Day. Packers alumni Gilbert Brown, Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, John Jurkovic, Don Davey, Kevin Barry and Junius Coston were among those that participated in the game during halftime of the Packers' win over the Miami Dolphins. A driving force behind the match up was to raise awareness and support for wounded warriors and their families by showcasing the team on the field, inspiring fans and highlighting the perseverance of active and former service members.

We've made it pretty clear how much we enjoy seeing athletes get involved with esports, and the National Basketball Players Association is the next organization to bridge the gap between gaming and their players. The NBPA has partnered up with ReadyUp to launch a smart calendar "that will act as the comprehensive source to find esports matches, tournaments, and livestreams that includes video game fan experiences and media events with NBA Players." NBA players will include their own game livestreaming events so that fans can either watch or join in and play.

Las Vegas just keeps getting more and more attractive to gamers all over the world! Allied Esports announced a deal with HyperX for naming rights to the newly renamed HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas at the Luxor Hotel & Casino, making it the first dedicated esports venue on the Las Vegas Strip. The partnership is "comprised of co-branded experiences and events, including unique opportunities with HyperX's personalities, esports athletes and influencers; co-branded content and collateral in-venue, online and on social platforms; marketing, promotion and product activations; and a prominent retail presence in Las Vegas." In other words, this venue is going to be every gamer's dream! We're looking forward to seeing esports continue to grow in the home of the FCFL.

    We Want Your Input!

People frequently ask us: do you really want fan input on how to run the league? Our answer is an unequivocal: YES! Not only will fans be driving all football-related decisions once the games are being played on the field, but we want fans to play an integral role in how we structure our league operations. The main channel for such communication has been and will continue to be our Telegram channel, where you can chat directly with all of our team members and co-founders at nearly any hour of the day. We have been discussing a range of topics, from Token structure to fan engagement. We would love your input as well!
