Finance, Business Insider, and CCN. Stay tuned for more, as folks are clamoring for interviews with Joe and our co-founders, we'll keep you updated as the news hits. What's Up with the FAN Token World Tour? Over the weekend, Commissioner Ray Austin participated in the Chicago Bears Alumni Weekend. Of course, Ray represented the FCFL well - #PowerToTheFans! Last week, Patrick Dees participated on a panel at FanVest's LA Esports Business Summit at Esports Arena in Santa Ana, CA. Joining him on the panel were Ann Hand, CEO of Super League Gaming; Mark Candella, Director of Partnerships at Twitch; Justin Warden, CEO/Co-Founder at Ader; Neeta Sreekanth, Head of Social at IGN Entertainment; and Royce Disini, Founder of Mobcrush. As Seen on the FAN Token Blog ICYMI, last week's blog featured a post about our new Chief Strategic Advisor, Joe Montana!! If you missed it last week, don't miss it this week. In addition, as we highlight trending events, issues, and decisions in the world of sports and analyze how they may or may not factor into the Fan Controlled Football League, this week's FAN Take takes a look at fans putting their trust in players. Earl Thomas made headlines on Sunday night after a particular gesture made on the field, but don't worry, we have it covered for you! Check out the blog to see whether or not we think the fans would react the same way Pete Carroll did. What's New in the FCFL with Patrick Dees This week Patrick Dees catches us up on his participation at FanVest, Joe Montana's involvement in FCFL, and Sohrob's recent podcast interview. Oh, and in case you are wondering what photoshopped photo Patrick is referencing, here it is: Who's that Photo Bomber? And also on our Twitch channel: In our latest FAN Call Friday, The Commish, Ray Austin, and our Head of Football Experience, Jason Chilton, discuss Roughing the Passer Calls, what they mean for the NFL, and what they mean for the FCFL. Notable News Currently, referees are wearing cameras in Australia's National Rugby League, giving viewers a Madden-like view of the action on the field. With all the advances in technology, its no surprise that this is being incorporated into more and more sports. Sports Business Journal's John Ourand believes that 'network and league executives predict more players and referees will be wearing cameras" within the next few years. We're guessing Ourand must have read a little into the FCFL, as our plans for the league include camerawork like this. Is there anything more exciting than bringing video games to real life? Beloved classic, Mario Kart, is coming to Los Angeles in a real life version next year courtesy of the Mushroom Rally! The experience began in Australia, but is coming to the United States and will give approximately 600 people the opportunity to dress as their favorite character and race for 30 minutes. The races are set to take place across two days, with dates TBD as of now, on a custom built track away from the chaotic LA streets. We cannot wait to see this come to life in our HQ's backyard! Amazon, parent company of Twitch, is bringing in new elements to their streams of Thursday Night Football. The games will be co-streamed on Twitch, and Prime Video's "X-Ray" technology is being incorporated so that viewers can get real-time stats, team info, and shop for team merchandise on Amazon.com - or Smile.Amazon.com if you're feeling generous. When using your Fire TV remote, simply push the "up" button to see Team Stats to track top players rushing, passing, receiving and more. For those of you that have players on your Fantasy teams playing that night, you'll quickly be able to see how your roster is performing that week, as opposed to waiting for the app on your phone to load. We love seeing the growth of a sport and the way fans get to experience it! People frequently ask us: do you really want fan input on how to run the league? Our answer is an unequivocal: YES! Not only will fans be driving all football-related decisions once the games are being played on the field, but we want fans to play an integral role in how we structure our league operations. The main channel for such communication has been and will continue to be our Telegram channel, where you can chat directly with all of our team members and co-founders at nearly any hour of the day. We have been discussing a range of topics, from Token structure to fan engagement. We would love your input as well!
