As many of you know, Hurricane Florence has landed in the United States. Our thoughts are with all those affected. To make a financial contribution to relief efforts, visit TeamRubiconUSA.org/florence. We applaud Sgt. Jake Wood, recipient of the Pat Tillman Award, and his team for all the work they are doing to help the community during this time.

What's Up with the FAN Token World Tour?

Big news folks! Fan Controlled Football League has been selected as one of five finalists in the Tech Start Up Competition at the upcoming LEADERS Week in London in mid-October! We don't know yet who our competition will be (we'll let you know as soon as we know), but does it really matter when all we do is win, win, win?!

Speaking of winning, you'll recall a few weeks back Grant Cohen won the start up competition at Datacon LA (formerly Big Data Day). They've released an official highlight video from the conference – jump ahead to minute 34 to check out Grant's presentation and Q &A with the judges!

And next week, Patrick is back in action on a panel at FanVest's LA Esports Business Summit at Esports Arena in Santa Ana, CA. Joining him on the panel will be Ann Hand, CEO of Super League Gaming; Mark Candella, Director of Partnerships at Twitch; Justin Warden, CEO/Co-Founder at Ader; Neeta Sreekanth, Head of Social at IGN Entertainment; and Royce Disini, Founder of Mobcrush. Definitely an impressive group!

    Notable News

The Dallas Cowboys made NFL history by becoming the first team to enter a partnership with a casino. The Cowboys has joined forces with WinStar World Casino and Resort (Thackerville, OK), lending their logos and branding to the casino. While sports betting is not currently legal in Oklahoma, the state has introduced legislation to open the opportunity up. With the future home of the FCFL landing in Las Vegas, we understand the practicality and allure of a partnership with a casino.

ESPN announced that during "Monday Night Football," there will no longer be commercials between the second and third quarter. Instead, there will be . The deal was developed with the program's sponsor, Genesis, and gives viewers a scaled down version fo the Super Bowl half time show. Last week's show featured a tribute to Aretha Franklin by Boyz II Men and Tori Kelly. The plan is to have artists local to the game's host city be incorporated in each week's broadcast.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are dipping into the crypto game. During their game on September 21st against the San Diego Padres, tokens will be distributed at point of entry in conjunction with their "Digital Bobblehead Night," featuring Justin Turner, Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen. The first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance will be given a card with a unique card that can be unblocked and transferred to an ETH wallet. The character tokens will be selected at random, with an equal share of Kershaw, Turner and Jansen codes.

Bleacher Report announced they have new original content coming your way with "The Champions." From the creators of "Game of Zones" and "Gridiron Heights," the show showcases all 800 Champions League athletes, and their agents, living in a chateau together, similar to The Bachelor. The 13-episode series will have new episodes released every week over the course of the Champions League season. We love seeing Bleacher Report create content generated towards the entertainment of fans, improving their overall experience during the season.
