Happy Independence Day Here at the FCFL, we celebrate the freedom of the fans – to take control, to make decisions, to create their own experiences, every day. What's Up with the FAN Token World Tour? Recently, Patrick was featured in a couple of sessions at FanVest at Esports Arena in Oakland, including a fireside chat with the popular Twitch streamer Dr. DisRespect, and a closing keynote on "The Intersection of Live Sports, Virtual Sports and Esports." He followed that up with another panel at the XLIVE Reception Series - "Blockchain Rising: Integrating Blockchain Technology into the Live Event Ecosystem" in San Francisco. – check out the highlights from his whirlwind 24 Hours in the Bay Area here.

As Seen on the FAN Token Blog Big news announced this week on our blog: we've hired a former member of our Virtual Front Office (VFO)! That's right top FAN IQ points-getting Rob Walker is now our Football Operations Manager, working closely with our Head of Football Experience, Jason Chilton. ICYMI: Last week's AMA, live on Twitch was great fun. We had all four co-founders in the house here at Phase Two in Los Angeles. We had a great green screen behind them. Notable News The NFL, in collaboration with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), has conducted extensive laboratory research to evaluate which helmets best reduce head impact severity. The results have been shared with NFL players, club equipment managers, club medical, training and coaching staffs to help inform equipment choices. The laboratory test conditions are intended to represent potentially concussive head impacts in the NFL. Have you had any experience using any of these helmets? If so, which ones do you think are the safest?
In case you haven't been following the NBA free agency very closely, we've got you covered! In perhaps one of the most anticipated off-seasons in history, we saw the NBA landscape change for the coming 2018-2019 season. On July 1st, LeBron James agreed to a four year, $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers then added a few other pieces including Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, and Rajon Rondo. Paul George has agreed to resign with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors added another all-star in Demarcus Cousins to their already spectacular lineup. We are looking forward to a great season, are you?
